Nomo Challenge, Zero Plastic We are Ready!

The Zero Plastic Challenge, as the name itself indicates, consists of putting plastic aside completely in our restaurants and using only biodegradable materials and “friends” of the environment. We know that it is an ambitious project, but our entire team is prepared and motivated to achieve it.

How are we going to do it?

Our take away and delivery line, Nomomoto is the first to use a completely biodegradable packaging and made from recyclable materials, replacing the traditional plastic sushi trays with cardboard ones that are even more resistant and comfortable, and by Of course, respectful of our environment.

These eco-friendly resources are going to be adapted for each of our Japanese restaurants and our Mediterranean restaurant Jani in Llafranc, so that at the end of this year we can proudly show off all the effort and teamwork that we have made for a common good such as the protection of our environment.

How are you going to evaluate the challenge?

The Zero Plastic project is planned to be carried out throughout this year 2019. Throughout this time, Grupo Nomo will be showing the progress and achievements that we are making during this process, and we will be measuring all the advantages and impact of these changes. We are going to do this with the Nomo Thermo.

The Nomo Thermo is a thermometer where all our progress will be measured until we can fulfill our purpose. It will also allow us to see how much we need to finish the project, and be even more motivated to achieve it.

We’re Ready!

At Grupo Nomo, in addition to having restaurants that offer Japanese gastronomic experiences with a Western touch, we want to go one step further and be truly faithful to our values as an organization.

For this reason, we are not going to stop working as a team this year to move this project forward and keep our corporate responsibility in mind at all times: For a better future!
